Welcome on board

The experienced captain knows well the difficulties of governing a great ship and its crew. He knows the importance of creating the adequate context for the team to live a unique experience, an experience to grow and evolve as a person and a professional. We live in times in which various generations coexist in the same ship.

These generations have different ways of approaching the challenges of our era. They have different forms of knowledge and control over technology, which have changed greatly in the last years, opening our eyes to a myriad of possible adventures. In this gathering, nestled in a magical city with an amazing seafaring tradition, the captains of some of the major ships that sail our oceans will share knowledge and experience about how to build, empower, maintain and enrich their valorous and valuable crews, in order to set sail towards new horizons.

Steve Cadigan
Talent advisor

Recruiting, engaging and keeping top talent has never been more challenging than it is today. Across the world employees are leaving companies faster than ever which is creating great competition for the best talent and forcing organizations to rethink their talent strategies. In this engaging session, Steve Cadigan, will reveal what is behind these shifting demographics shifts and what you and your companies can do to win in this new and dynamic reality.

Marc Alba
Senior Vice President, Head of Disruption NTT

Incremental versus radical change in talent and workforce management, here is the fundamental question. Artificial intelligence, crowdsourcing, immersive technologies, automation, platform economy, cybersecurity and many more disruptive techs and business paradigms, are challenging models which have prevailed for decades and even centuries. We will navigate through myths and realities of the new age of phygital (physical + digital) workforce.

Time to reflect and network with other captains.

Sean Fitzpatrick
Former Captain of the New Zealand All Blacks rugby Team

The main focus of Sean Fitzpatrick's speak will be about the bullet points of his book (``Winning Matters``), in which he shares his experience as part of one of the best rugby team on the planet, and in which it is reflected on the key moments and meetings of his life, identifying everyday values, beliefs and principles that have driven him, both on and off the pitch. He will talk about strategies for success in all aspects of life, and how we can all learn from them.

Jo Malone CBE
Founder & Creative Director, Jo Loves

Robb Rasmussen interviews Jo Loves’ founder about the impact of talent management and diversity in her successful business career.

Network with the rest of the captains during this networking lunch, in the upper decks of the vessel in the beautiful Lisbon sunshine.

Mariano Sigman
Neuroscientist and author

Mariano will lead some interactive dynamics to demonstrate, from the neuroscientist point of view, the principles of human behavior which do not change in spite of the many social and technological context changes, because they are part of our nature as a species. We will make a journey that goes from the neural circuits of motivation, to how this human idiosyncrasy affects the productive spaces that we have forged throughout the ages and cultures

Adah Parris
Futurist, Cultural Innovator, Board Advisor, Keynote Speaker

An organization's first customers are its employees and its culture is the culmination of the collective stories of those customers.

If tech is changing understanding of what work is and will be, how then do you create and nurture cultures where human potential, curiosity, trust and transparency are also measures of success?

And what could be the impact of these more human centered key performance indicators (KPIs) on innovation and the stories you tell both inside and outside of the organization?

Simon Williams, CEO NTT DATA UK
Miguel Teixeira, CEO everis Portugal
Dieter Loewe, Managing Director and Chief Client Officer at NTT DATA Germany
Moderated by Anna Budde, Chief Marketing Officer, NTT DATA Germany

The experience will end in one of the most exclusive restaurants in Lisbon at the edge of the Tagus River. Enjoy a wonderful evening with the rest of the Captains in a Michelin star restaurant.
